Arbusto sempreverde tipico della macchia mediterranea, rami eretti. foglie lunghe. I fiori compaiono da giugno a ottobre. Sono disponibili diversi colori, come il bianco, il rosso, il rosa acceso, il rosa salmone e il giallo.
